The Android WalkMe Mobile SDK supports integration with all web-view based hybrid apps. WalkMe provides its logic and user interface at the native level, so there’s no risk of performance issues or need for code changes in the host app.

This article explains how to integrate the Android WalkMe Mobile SDK with a hybrid app.

Steps For Integration

  1. Obtain a WalkMe account and account credentials from your Customer Success Manager;
  2. Integrate the Android WalkMe Mobile SDK with your app, following the instructions for installing the SDK using Gradle.

Your WalkMe SDK init should look either like this:

// Java:
ABBI.setFlag(ABBIFlags.ABBI_APP_HYBRID.getValue());
ABBI.start("<YOUR_APP_KEY>", "<YOUR_APP_SECRET>", getApplication());
// Kotlin:
ABBI.setFlag(ABBIFlags.ABBI_APP_HYBRID.value)
ABBI.start(“<YOUR_APP_KEY>”, “<YOUR_APP_SECRET>”, application);

Or like this:

// Java:
ABBI.start("<YOUR_APP_KEY>", "<YOUR_APP_SECRET>", ABBIFlags.ABBI_APP_HYBRID, getApplication())
// Kotlin:
ABBI.start("<YOUR_APP_KEY>", "<YOUR_APP_SECRET>", ABBIFlags.ABBI_APP_HYBRID, application)
