Brief Overview

While creating content for the desktop menu, builders may want to test their work without having to save, publish, and refresh with each change.

With content preview, builders can preview content instantly from the editor.

How it Works

The switch to the editor mode and preview content:

1. Select the Turn on Menu Editor Mode banner in the editor
2. WalkMe Menu automatically:
   • Opens the menu (if it isn't already running)
   • Enters the editor mode
   • Enables immediate preview of WalkMe content directly in the menu

Another way to switch to the editor mode:

1. Open the WalkMe Menu app for desktop
2. Type /editor-mode-on in the search bar
3. The menu will disappear
4. Open the editor and select an item to preview
   

How to quit the preview mode

1. Select the WalkMe Menu icon in the status bar for macOS and in the tray for Windows
2. Select Exit Editor Mode
3. The menu will open
