Brief Overview

While creating content for the desktop menu, builders may want to test their work without having to save, publish, and refresh with each change.

With content preview, builders can preview content instantly from the Editor.

How to Preview Content in Desktop Menu

  1. Open the WalkMe Menu app for desktop
  2. Copy and paste /editor-mode-on in the search bar or type it in the Enterprise Search tab
  3. The desktop menu instantly disappears
  4. Open the Editor and select a Smart Walk-Thru in the Desktop/Mobile system
  5. Click Play to preview it

How to Stop "Preview Mode"

  1. Click on the WalkMe Menu icon, which is located on the status bar for macOS and in the tray for Windows
  2. Select Exit Editor Mode to reopen the desktop menu and stop preview mode
