Brief Overview

Accessibility is the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people who experience disabilities. Web accessibility is an inclusive practice of removing barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing websites and interacting with them.

While accessibility compliance is ultimately determined by the user experience, there are four main principles that all guidelines and standards encompass:

• Perceivable: Users must be able to perceive the information being presented
• Operable: Users must be able to operate the interface
• Understandable: Users must be able to understand the information and the operation of the interface
• Robust: Users must be able to access the content as technologies advance

WalkMe is a major proponent of the concept of equal access to all, and actively seeks to achieve this ideal, especially as it applies to web accessibility, on an ongoing basis.

Using WalkMe accessibility settings, you can:

• Use popular screen readers to navigate WalkMe content
• Create alternative text for images
• Use special keyboard shortcuts to navigate WalkMe content
• Configure ARIA labels
• Modify which elements users interact with on keyboard versus what is visually displayed

How It Works

As an SAP company, WalkMe is aligning with SAP Accessibility Standard, which incorporates three external guidelines and regulations:

• Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA

• US Section508: WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA

• EN 301 549 Chapter 9 (Web) and Chapter 11 (Software)

WalkMe is in process of a long-run planning of accessibility compliance according to SAP Accessibility Standard, and each WalkMe product has been going through an accessibility assessment by the SAP Accessibility Test Lab.
