Convert a Smart Walk-Thru to a Conversation
Brief Overview
Users can seamlessly connect a Smart Walk-Thru to a conversation. This functionality enables users to initiate conversations directly from an existing Smart Walk-Thru, enhancing user interaction, engagement and streamlining communication processes.
How It Works
How to connect an existing Smart Walk-Thru to an ActionBot conversation
For an existing Smart Walk-Thru, ActionBot conversations can be added as an initiator.
- Sign in to your WalkMe editor account
- Click on the Smart Walk-Thru in the item list
- Click the Initiators button at the top of your Smart Walk-Thru
- Click + Add conversation
- You will be redirected to a popup on the console conversations list page with two pages:
- Add conversation
- Question setup
Add conversation
- Enter a conversation name
- By default, the name will match the Smart Walk-Thru title
- Manage keywords:
- Click Bulk add to add multiple keywords, and either:

- Manually enter each keyword
- Press Enter after each keyword to separate them
- Click Apply
- Click Import CSV
- Click Apply
- Click Apply
- Manually enter each keyword

Enter individual keywords in the keywords text field

Click the Assign bots dropdown to add a bot to the conversation

Click Next
- Click Bulk add to add multiple keywords, and either:
Question setup
The Smart Walk-Thru steps will be converted into conversation questions, which will be displayed in this section.

Edit the question text and name

To create the conversation, either:

Click Create to create the conversation and be redirected to the conversations list page

Click Create and open conversation to create the conversation and be redirected to the conversation editing page
