How It Works
DeepUI is at the core of WalkMe's functionality. Whenever a content creator attaches a piece of content, such as a tooltip, to an element within the underlying target application, WalkMe DeepUI generates a detailed description of the element, allowing WalkMe's guidance, automation and data capabilities to locate it during runtime.
The system analyzes the page document object model (DOM) to verify the locations of on-screen elements chosen during content creation. In the event of UI updates, the technology identifies the correct location of the element and updates the element mapping accordingly. Importantly, the system uploads descriptions of the element and its surrounding elements, ensuring no personal data is collected in the process.
