Last Updated February 22, 2026

Brief Overview

With the Joule integration, you can bring the power of Joule directly into your flow of work. The Joule integration with action bar extends the Joule experience across SAP and non-SAP applications, helping every user work more efficiently and confidently with AI.

Key attributes:

  • Omnipresent: Available across all web applications, SAP and non-SAP
  • Proactive: Anticipates user needs and recommends relevant actions
  • Contextual: Understands user intent and environment for accurate assistance
  • Unified: Creates a consistent AI experience across enterprise systems

Eligibility and access

The action bar is available to any SAP customer with AI units, regardless of WalkMe license type.

  • Activation: Customers activate the action bar in SAP for Me
  • Provisioning: Upon activation, if you don't have a WalkMe account yet, WalkMe provisions a restricted WalkMe account that includes limited console and editor access for managing the action bar
  • Existing WalkMe customers: If a WalkMe environment already exists, provisioning aligns to the existing tenant automatically

What's included?

Builder tools:

  • Restricted WalkMe access: Limited access to the WalkMe Console, Admin Center, and editor

Getting started

Activation email

After activation, the designated user receives a “Welcome to WalkMe” email with instructions to set a password for their restricted WalkMe account.

Once the account is set up, credentials can be used to access the WalkMe Console and configure the action bar and related AI integrations.

Console onboarding

When logging in for the first time, an onboarding wizard in the console guides builders through activating and configuring the action bar for their organization.

Theming

By default, the action bar does not automatically match Joule's color themes. To ensure the action bar reflects your desired look and feel, manual customization is required by the builder.

How to apply custom themes

Theming in the Editor and WalkMe Apps

  • For easy branding, you can use Joule's primary color (#7521e5) when adjusting the theme

  • The color of the chat header can be changed using the theming settings for the WalkMe Menu
