The AI Usage Dashboard gives you a centralized view of AI unit consumption across your organization, helping you monitor how WalkMe AI is being used across systems, users, and capabilities.
Use this dashboard to answer questions such as:
How many AI units have been consumed in a given period?
Which AI capabilities are driving the most usage?
Which systems are consuming the most AI units?
The AI Usage Dashboard helps you monitor and analyze AI unit consumption across your organization.
Start by selecting a date range, then use the widgets together to understand usage patterns across capabilities and systems
Date picker
Use the date picker at the top of the dashboard to define the time period for all metrics.
Supports predefined ranges and custom date selection
All widgets on the page update based on the selected range
Displays usage for all AI units consumed.
Total AI units consumed: Total number of AI units consumed across all AI capabilities in the selected period
A line graph showing AI unite consumption trends over the selected period, across all WalkMe AI capabilities.
This widget helps you:
Track growth or decline in AI consumption over time
Correlate usage changes with launches, rollouts, or configuration changes
Understand seasonal or cyclical usage patterns
Hover over any point to view detailed usage for that specific time period, including:
Total AI units consumed and a breakdown of units consumed by AI capability
Highlights AI consumption broken down by system.
This widget helps you:
Identify which systems use the most AI units
Understand which systems AI capabilities are most heavily used
Compare AI adoption across different systems
The bar graph shows your top 5 systems with the most AI unit consumption. Click See All to view all systems included in the selected time period.
A breakdown of AI consumption by WalkMe AI capability.
This widget shows usage volume by AI capability, helping you understand where AI is delivering value across the WalkMe experience.
Use this widget to:
Identify which AI capabilities are most actively used
Compare adoption across AI-powered features
Prioritize optimization and investment in high-impact capabilities
Capabilities:
Pinned AI: AI units consumed by Pinned AI capabilities (AI SmartTips, AI Launchers, AI Display Conditions, AI Steps in Smart Walk-Thrus) in the selected period
AI Knowledge Referencing: AI units consumed when retrieving information from connected knowledge sources to generate AI responses in the selected period
On-Demand AI: AI units consumed by the AI Chat or AI capabilities in ActionBot in the selected period
AI Knowledge Indexing: AI units consumed by indexing connected knowledge sources in the AI Center in the selected period
Joule Action Bar On Demand: AI units consumed when a user clicks a launcher or runs a quick action and receives an output in the selected period
Joule Action Bar Proactive: AI units consumed by AI Conditions that determine which launchers appear on the Action Bar in the selected period
Learn more about WalkMe's AI capabilities:
Click See All on a specific AI capability to view AI units and interactions on the system level in the selected period.
AI units are WalkMe's way of measuring and tracking AI consumption across capabilities. Each WalkMe AI capability consumes AI units at a different rate, depending on the complexity and resource intensity of the underlying operation.
Understanding how AI units are calculated can help you forecast usage after the 2026 promotional period, manage your AI allocation, and interpret the data shown in the AI Usage Dashboard.

Key concepts |
|
|
Term |
Description |
|
AI Unit |
The base unit of measure for WalkMe AI consumption. Every AI interaction consumes a certain number of AI units depending on the capability used. |
|
Block Size |
The number of interactions grouped into a single billing block for a given AI capability. Some capabilities are billed per individual interaction (block size = 1), while others are billed in larger increments. |
|
Capacity Unit Value |
The fractional AI unit cost per interaction block. A lower value means the capability consumes fewer AI units per use. |
|
Requests per AI Unit |
The number of interactions a single AI unit covers for a given capability. A higher number means the capability is more efficient per AI unit. |
How to read this table
Block Size tells you how many interactions are counted together before AI units are calculated. For example, Pinned AI is measured in blocks of 100 interactions
Capacity Unit Value is the AI unit cost per block. Multiply this by the number of blocks consumed to estimate total AI units used
Requests per AI Unit gives you a quick sense of efficiency — the higher the number, the more interactions a single AI unit covers
