Editor Keyboard Shortcuts

Brief Overview

Use keyboard shortcuts in the WalkMe Editor to perform common tasks faster on both Mac and Windows.

Editor Shortcuts

Create new folder

  • Mac: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N

Select multiple items

  • Mac and Windows: Shift + select two items — items in between are selected automatically

Delete selected items

  • Mac: Delete / fn + Backspace
  • Windows: Delete

Doesn't apply when folders are selected.

Focus into the search field

  • Mac: ⌘ + F
  • Windows: Ctrl + F

Preview

  • Mac: ⌘ + P
  • Windows: Ctrl + P

Only when items are selected.

Publish

  • Mac: ⌘ + Shift + P
  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P

Only when items are selected.

Select/clear all displayed items

  • Mac: ⌘ + Shift + A
  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + A

Selects from the first to the last item you tick.

Zoom in

  • Mac: ⌘ + "+"
  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + "+"

Zoom out

  • Mac: ⌘ + "-"
  • Windows: Ctrl + "-"

Editing Items

Save

  • Mac: ⌘ + S
  • Windows: Ctrl + S

Doesn't apply to ActionBot.

Play

  • Mac: ⌘ + P
  • Windows: Ctrl + P

Doesn't apply to Launchers or ActionBot.

Delete selected Smart Walk-Thru steps or SmartTips

  • Mac: Delete / fn + Backspace
  • Windows: Delete

Only for Smart Walk-Thrus and SmartTips.

From SmartTip to next selected

  • Mac and Windows: Shift

Find a step (Smart Walk-Thru)

  • Mac: ⌘ + F
  • Windows: Ctrl + F

Focuses on the selected step.

Technical Notes

Keyboard shortcuts defined in your operating system take precedence over editor shortcuts with the same key binding.
