What types of images can be used in a balloon?

In the WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) you can add any image that has a URL that ends in the following file types:

  • JPEG (.jpg)
  • PNG (.png)
  • GIF (.gif)
  • SVG (.svg)

When you navigate to the URL directly in your browser, you should be able to see the image. If you do not see the image when navigating to the URL, then it will not show up in the balloon either.

If the URL you are trying to use for your image does not end in one of the supported files types, it will not be usable. However, you can send an e-mail to and we will gladly host the image in one of these formats for you and provide you with the URL.

Note: Dropbox images cannot be embedded in balloons because they end in unsupported parameters (instead of ending in .jpg or .png, they end in .jpg?dl= or .png?dl=).
