Mobile Workstation Debugging Mode

Brief Overview

Debugging Mode allows users to report an issue that can't be solved using regular tools. In the mode, users can start a recording log to demonstrate any encountered issues within the Workstation app. The recording log will be received by the WalkMe dev team, and with the live information, they can better troubleshoot the user's issue.

How to Use

The mode can be turned on from the login page or from the settings tab.

Access through the login page

  1. Tap 7 times on the person icon in the background
  2. If the user is located in the EU, select the I'm using EU region checkbox
  3. Click Start Recording
  4. Click the red record button to stop recording

Access through the settings tab

  1. Tap 7 times on Settings & Preferences
  2. Click Report an Issue
  3. Click Start Recording
  4. Click the red record button to stop recording


When the debugging mode is activated, the logs will be sent via Datadog to the WalkMe dev team automatically after 15 minutes, or until the user manually turns off the mode by clicking the stop recording button. 

Additional Features

  • The recording button can be dragged across the screen


  • Users can record only up to 15 minutes
