Governance is the implementation of requirements to achieve consistent outcomes at scale. In digital adoption, governance practices apply to both the project level and the program level. The distinction between the two is important.
Both have a goal of consistency, scalability and efficiency through frameworks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). However,
A holistic Program Governance strategy includes but is not limited to a robust Project Governance strategy.

A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is a set of comprehensive instructions compiled for teams to carry out routine processes. SOPs aim to achieve efficiency and consistency, while reducing miscommunication and mistakes.
Visit our resource on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to operationalize your Digital Adoption strategy.
As interest in DAP grows at an organization, a common goal is to increase reach of the solution (use it on more applications across the tech stack). Project Governance can help teams accelerate content creation in the short term, but both Project and Program Governance are equally as important for a long-term scaled strategy.
Once you have standardized how you implement and manage WalkMe content on a few projects, focus on governance that will broaden the Digital Adoption Program at the company.
