Goals Not Being Reached

Issue

Smart Walk-Thru goals aren't showing as completed in the Flow Tracker, even after completing the relevant action.

Solution

There are a few reasons a goal may not appear as reached despite being completed. Work through the checks below.

Goal based on an action within an iFrame

If your goal is based on an action a user takes inside an iFrame, it won't show up in the Flow Tracker even if it was successfully reached. Monitor goal completion in Insights instead.

Insights Content Tabs

Goal is based on a "Click" or "Hover" action on a SPA site

If your goal is based on a Click or Hover action and your site is a single-page application (SPA), a specific setting may need to be turned on for your account. Contact WalkMe Support to have this enabled.

Goal is based on a "Click" or "Hover" of an element with delayed appearance

If your goal is based on a Click or Hover of an element that isn't present on page load — for example, an element that appears after a user action like opening a modal, without a page refresh — a specific setting needs to be turned on to allow these elements to be tracked. Contact WalkMe Support to have this enabled.
