How to Take Console Screenshots for Support

If WalkMe Support asks for console screenshots to help troubleshoot an issue, follow the steps below to capture and share them.

How to Take Console Screenshots

  1. Open your browser console:
    1. Windows: Ctrl + Shift+ J
    2. Mac: Option + ⌘ + C 
  2. Go to the Console tab
  3. If the cursor isn't flashing in the console, left-click next to the >

  4. Copy and paste the following API commands one at a time, pressing Enter after each one:
    • _walkmeInternals
    • _walkMe.getEnvId()
    • _walkMe.getUserGuid()
    • _walkMe.getEndUserGuid()
    • WalkMePlayerAPI.toggleMenu()
  5. Take a screenshot of the full page showing the expanded results and the URL of the site

      Windows: Ctrl + PrtScn

    • Mac: Shift + ⌘ + 3
  6. Upload your screenshots using the Contact Support form
