SaaS Model

Last Updated January 8, 2026

Brief Overview

The SaaS model is WalkMe's standard hosting configuration. In this model, WalkMe hosts and manages all required services and infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This approach minimizes customer infrastructure requirements and enables WalkMe to manage updates, availability, and scalability centrally.

For related storage behavior, see Storage Manager Overview.

How It Works

In the SaaS model:

  • WalkMe services are hosted on AWS
  • Published WalkMe content is stored in Amazon S3
  • Content is distributed through a content delivery network (CDN) to ensure fast load times for end users

When content is published, it is immediately available through the CDN without additional customer configuration.

Deploy WalkMe Using the SaaS Model

To deploy WalkMe using the SaaS model, you can choose one of the following methods:

Snippet deployment

Add the WalkMe snippet to your website's HTML pages, similar to other analytics or monitoring tools.

Deploy WalkMe Using a JavaScript Snippet

Browser extension deployment

Distribute a browser extension to end users to inject the WalkMe snippet automatically.
