WalkMe Feature Retirements

At WalkMe, we are committed to providing full transparency regarding feature retirements and product announcements. Use the table below to stay up to date with any retired features.

Retirement definitions

  • End-of-life (EOL): This feature will become inaccessible and will no longer be available for use
  • End-of-support (EOS): WalkMe will no longer provide technical support or bug fixes for this feature

Survey creation in the editor will reach EOL for new systems in the Q2 '26 release. Existing systems can continue to create and manage surveys in the editor. All new systems should move to the Surveys app in the WalkMe Console to access the latest features and enhancements. Learn more

The legacy rule engine will reach EOL in the Q2 '26 release as we transition all logic management to the modern condition builder, offering a more powerful and streamlined experience. Learn more

Access and secret key authentication

Access and secret key authentication method reached EOS for new S3 connections. Existing connections are still supported, however it is recommended to switch to IAM Roles for improved security. Learn more

Internet Explorer (IE) and IE mode

Support for Internet Explorer and IE mode in Edge reached EOL, aligning with Microsoft's IE11 deprecation. To maintain service and improve the user experience switch to a supported browser such as Google Chrome, Edge Chromium, or Firefox and connect to a supported browser extension in your Editor preferences. Insights Classic reached EOL. Insights in the WalkMe Console replaces its main features.

Features reaching EOL: Session Stream, Custom Event filtering, Session filters and Session Mode, Recommended Reports, Quadrant Event Visualization View, and Page-Specific Reports (for example, SWT Play Logs). Learn more

Editor versions below 5.0.0 are no longer supported (EOS).
Upgrade to avoid build disruptions, access the latest features and security updates, and ensure you're using the most stable editor version. Learn more

Mobile iOS SDK minimum deployment changes

Following Apple guidelines, WalkMe Mobile iOS SDK minimum deployment target is changing from iOS8 to iOS11. There is no impact on end-users that already have WalkMe installed. Upgrading to WalkMe's newest iOS version will require iOS's minimum deployment target 11.0+. Learn more
