WalkMe Feature Retirements

At WalkMe, we are committed to providing full transparency regarding feature retirements and product announcements. Use the table below to stay up to date with any retired features.

Retirement definitions

  • End of Life (EOL): This feature will become inaccessible and will no longer be available for use
  • End of Support (EOS): WalkMe will no longer provide technical support or bug fixes for this feature

Insights Classic will reach EOL. Insights in the WalkMe Console will replace its main functionalities.

January 1, 2026

Editor versions lower than 5.0.0

Editor versions lower than 5.0.0 will reach EOS. It is highly recommended to switch to the latest version - download it here

December 31, 2025

Multi-language import/export API 

The multi-language import/export API V1 will reach EOL. The enhanced import/export API V2 will replace it's functionalities. It is highly recommended to switch to ensure uninterrupted service and to take advantage of the new capabilities offered by API V2. For guidance on transitioning, see API V2 documentation.

Insights Classic Reports

Report creation moves from Insights Classic to WalkMe Console. Existing reports, subscriptions, and 3rd party integrations will automatically transfer to the Console with no action needed.

Analytics backoffice 

The legacy backoffice that until now held the self-hosting package downloader, will stop being supported. All its settings are available in the Admin Center.

WalkMe Share 

WalkMe Share will reach EOL. Preview slides in the console will replace it's main functionalities.

Editor Solutions Gallery

The Solutions Gallery in the editor will reach EOL. The Solutions Gallery in the console will replace it's main functionalities.

Editor grid view 

Grid view in the editor will reach EOS. The Content Manager in the console will replace it's main functionalities.

WalkMe Legacy SSO will reach EOS. SSO can be managed from the Single Sign-On page in the Admin Center.

Legacy Editor UI 

The legacy editor UI will reach EOL. All users will be migrated to the new editor design.

Editor versions 4.15.9 and lower

WalkMe Editor versions 4.15.9 will reach EOS. It's highly recommended to switch to the newest version. Learn more

Legacy Workstation UI 

The legacy Workstation UI will reach EOL. All users will be migrated to the new design.

Mobile iOS SDK minimum deployment changes

Following Apple guidelines, WalkMe Mobile iOS SDK minimum deployment target is changing from iOS8 to iOS11. This will have no impact on end-users that already have WalkMe installed. However, upgrading to WalkMe's newest iOS version will require iOS's minimum deployment target 11.0+.

WalkMe Embed Slideshow

In compliance with the Clickjacking | OWASP Foundation guidelines for software security, we now prevent our slideshow iframe to be cross-origin embedded in third-party sites.

Classic ShoutOuts and Notifications are no longer accessible in Workstation and Desktop Editors.

Due to technical limitations, you can no longer add a system from Systems Overview in Insights.
June 20, 2022 Session Playback Collection setting
Support for controlling Session Playback collection by Device User Agent has been removed from the Environment Settings Session Playback Tab.
January 17, 2021 Edge Legacy All-In-One Installer
Edge Legacy will no longer be supported in AIO or custom extension new deployments - Existing deployments will remain supported until Edge legacy is officially deprecated by Microsoft.

All the data can now be found in the Tracked Events Dashboard.

You will now be able to use the "Email me" option to get a one time report or "Subscribe" to schedule a recurring report.
